Baumstamm Sägen
At Christina and Alan's wedding I was introduced to a German wedding tradition.

Baumstamm Sägen (Log sawing)
An old Bavarian tradition occurs right after the church ceremony. When the couple exits the Church there is a log on a sawhorse and the couple has to cut the log in half! This is to symbolize the first tough tasks of their future they can accomplish together.

That log was huge!! It was no easy task to saw that thing in half. When it got close to the end, it was giving them a hard time, and as they say... "there's more than one way to skin a cat". Alan picked up the log and threw it down breaking it in half!

Soli Deo Gloria!
